"Usage Monitoring and Control" A New Value-Added Service from Otesat-Maritel on FleetBroadband

Otesat-Maritel is pleased to announce the launch of a new Value-Added Service named “Usage Monitoring and Control”, which constitutes a valuable tool for monitoring and controlling the traffic produced by the satellite system Inmarsat FleetBroadband. This service consists of the e-mail Alert and Auto-Suspend applications which provide the customer the ability to set monthly thresholds on each activated SIM card and be informed and/or suspend the SIM card when reaching these thresholds.

E-mail Alert
This service provides the customer the option to receive e-mail Alerts on each activated SIM card when overcoming a monthly threshold on implied, non-implied, or all services of Standard plan or Allowance package rate plans. After the excess of that set limit, e-mail Alerts will be received at the e-mail addresses defined by the customer.

Auto-Suspend
The SIM card can be automatically suspended when overcoming the set by the customer monthly threshold on implied, non-implied, or all services of Standard plan or Allowance package rate plans. The customer will be informed about the suspension via e-mail at the defined e-mail address. A SIM Card in Suspend status cannot provide traffic and will be resumed on customer’s permission.

E-mail Alert and Auto-Suspend can also be used in combination.
