VSAT terminal
Maritime VSAT is another solution for shipowners. The antennas are typically larger than inmarsat and offer data rates typically range from 20 kbps up to 2 Mbps. VSAT is characterized by one fee, use as much as you want, but are much more expensive than Inmarsat products which charge by the usage.

Thuraya handhelds
The SeaCall Maritime solution is ideal for use on yachts, motorboats, motorcruisers, fishing boats etc. providing reliable satellite communications aboard and the flexibility of a handheld unit with GSM communication when ashore. It is both affordable and easy to install with the complete solution ‘in a box’.
The kit comprises a Thuraya handset, a docking station and a Maritime Antenna which is compact in size and has a pole mount fitting. The Thuraya handset can be removed from the docking station, for mobile communications ashore or on deck. The docking station has an integral handset for ease of use onboard. Another bonus of the Thuraya is that it has GPS capability for a quick location reference and the ability to SMS your position.
