Iridium short burst data modem

The 9601 SBD Transceiver is a lower cost, Iridium Satellite LLC manufactured product designed as an OEM module for integration into applications that only use the Iridium Short Burst Data Service. Short Burst Data applications are supported through an RS232 interface.Easily integrates into a wide variety of applications that require remote access. It combines the global coverage of the Iridium satellite constellation with the low latency of the Iridium Short Burst Data Service (SBD) in a small, low-cost transceiver design. The 9601 is ideal for global tracking and monitoring. Any device can be integrated across Iridium's worlwide network using this low-cost and lightweight satellite modem designed for embedded applications. Easily integrates into a wide variety of applications that require remote access. Ideal for monitoring, alarms, and tracking. Includes RS 232 serial inteface and optional developer kit. Low latency for delivery. Iridium limits distribution of the Transceiver equipment to approved Iridium Value Added Manufacturers and Value Added Resellers.
