Messaging service.
Sending text messages via e-mail to vessels equipped with Inmarsat-C terminals with worldwide coverage and automatic oceanic region search.
The service advantages are: :
Easy to use : The only requirement is an Internet connection with an Internet e-mail account. No extra software or hardware is required. The user simply enters the address of the recipient-vessel with the following format to the e-mail program inc.4xxxxxxxx@maritel.net where 4xxxxxxxx is the Inmarsat-C number.
Money saver : The message is charged by the volume, and not by the duration of the call and the ocean region the vessel is found (flat rate). The user is only charged for successfully delivered messages.
Message Status Reports : After the message is sent, the user receives in his "inbox" e-mail folder 3 consecutive reports with a common unique Reference Number; this reference number is given in order to assist the user for future inquiries.
The available reports are : ■ ACCEPTANCE report, the message has successfully been stored to the Otesat-Maritel Messaging Hub (Optional). ■ DISPATCH report, the message has been forwarded to the LES. In this report the LES Message ID is included (Optional). ■ DELIVERY report, the message has been delivered or undelivered to the vessel from the LES.

Telaurus Global Network™ (TGN™).
The Telaurus Global Network™ (TGN™) is a revolutionary new integration of proven technologies. Combining multiple communications paths, the TGN utilizes multiple satellite networks to deliver voice and data communications to and from vessels with unprecedented reliability. Data is billed at One Low Price based on file size and not time, irrespective of the path used, using the universal NDTS standard for billing. The user will never be charged for the time it takes to send the data, no matter how large it is or how long it takes. Another first in the satellite communications industry.
se@COMM prices each message automatically and displays the message price and the NDTS (after compression) to the sender before the message is sent. The user never has to pay for dropped, disconnected or failed connections again. He only pays once for the data delivered and not for the pre-compressed message size.
Telaurus’ progressive pricing structure, tied to message size, is automatically applied to each message and can lower the cost of your larger files dramatically – ensuring all your data communications are always cost effective.
